Registration
is in the lobby of the Library Center (B on map, link below). The Eistedfodd
workshops will take place in Rogers Hall (A), and the Library Center (B)
with concerts in the Library Center Dibner Auditorium. Dormatory accomodations
are in the Othmer Residence Hall (D), right across
Tech Place from Rogers and Dibner. The only nearby commercial hotel is
the Marriott,
on Jay Street, just across from Rogers Hall.
Parking (on street): [there is no parking on the campus]
- All the surrounding streets have parking meters in effect until
7 pm every day INCLUDING SUNDAY. They are mostly one or two hour meters.
After 7 pm parking is legal and free.
- During the hours of 7-10 AM and 4-7 PM, there is no parking at all on Flatbush Ave. Extension (east of the
campus) every day except Sunday. After 7pm it is free and this might be a good place to park Friday evening.
- There are 4 hour meters on Tillary street (one block north of the campus)
which are usually full.
- Johnson
Street (also called Tech Place), just north of the campus has no parking
due to construction and for security reasons. Access to Tech Place is available
only from Jay Street and is limited to people staying in the Dorm for the
purpose of dropping people off only.
Parking (Garages): The fees below are the standard weekend fees. Letters on the map below show the location of each.
There are many parking lots in the area but most close at 6 or 7 pm. The indoor garages
listed below are the only ones that stay open later.
- F - There is a municipal parking garage with entrances on both Gold
Street and Flatbush Avenue Extension, south of Willoughby Street, four blocks
southeast of the commons. The garage closes at 11 pm but cars may be left
overnight. Cost is $9 per day.
- G - There
is a garage in the Marriott Hotel, just across Jay Street from Rogers Hall,
with the entrance on the other side of the hotel on Adams Street. (After
parking you can exit on Jay Street.) Garage is open 24 hours and cost is
$16 for Friday night and $11 per day for Saturday and Sunday.
- H - There
is a 24 hour garage on Jay Street and Concord Stret, three blocks
north of Tillary Street and 5 blocks from the commons. Cost is $6 for
12 hours and $14 for 24 hours ($34 for the weekend).
Subway stops are shown on the map below: Note weekend construction projects disrupt service throughout the city.
The stations listed below are not expected to be affected but the
trains serving them will have other stations with service

- A, C, and F trains stop at the "Jay Street-Borough Hall" station right
at the Metro-Tech Commons (second stop in Brooklyn from Manhattan).
- 2,
3, 4, and 5 trains stop at the "Borough Hall" station, 3 blocks from the
Metro-Tech Commons (first stop in Brooklyn for 4 and 5; second stop in Brooklyn
for 1 and 2).
- M, N, and R trains stop at the " Lawrence
Street" station, 2 blocks from at the Metro-Tech Commons (second stop in
Brooklyn from Manhattan).
- Long Island Railroad (LIRR) trains
go to the Brooklyn terminal at Flatbush and Atlantic Ave. about 10 blocks south of the Metro-Tech Commons.

Directions: Polytechnic
University at Metro-Tech Center, just over the Brooklyn or Manhattan bridges
in Brooklyn; just off the Tillary St.exit from the BQE. Detailed driving directions from various points.
By train:
A, C, F (Jay St.–Borough Hall) and M, N, R (Lawrence Street) are closest.
#2, 3, 4, 5 are five min. walk (Borough Hall). All are 15-20 min. from
midtown Manhattan. Go into the open Metrotech Commons—right across
Jay St. from the back of the Marriott. The Wunsch Student Center (C on map)
is at the far end of the Commons, beyond the trees, looks like an old brown
church (which it was); next to a new building under construction. The
Othmer Residence Hall (D) is a new building just north of the commons, past the
back of Rogers (A) and the entrance to Dibner (B).If you park on Flatbush, walk into the commons at the Myrtle Ave.
entrance 2 blocks west past the Chase Bank building. The Bank will
be on your left, and a large new building will be on your immediate right.
For Wunsch Student Center (C on map) turn right at the corner of the new
building and continue to the next building. For Dibner (B), Rogers (A), and Othmer (D),
continue diagonally across to the far side of the commons.
