Special Programs and Workshops
- Sat, March 13: New York, New York--Its Traditions and Its People:
A Festival of Traditional Music at
the Renaissance School, 35-59 81 St, Jackson Heights, Queens

The festival starts off with a free family concert from 11 am to 12
noon and continues from 12:30 to 5:30 pm with mini-concerts, workshops,
and participatory sessions. From 7:30 to 10:30pm there is an
evening concert. Tickets are $15 for the whole day or $10 for
either the afternoon or evening individually.
Children: 13-18 are $5, 12 and under (accompanied by an adult )are
free.
(There are no
tickets required for the free family concert.) More information is at

Oscar Brand whose WNYC radio show “Folksong
