The Eisteddfod Award

The 2006 Eisteddfod Award will be given to Ethel Raim at this year's festival.

There is a decades-long tradition in the Eisteddfod festival of giving an annual award to a person who has given extraordinary service in the cause of teaching, preserving, and propagating traditional music, dance, and song of the world's peoples. This year's recipient has given a lifetime of such service, and we are honored to present the 2006 Eisteddfod Award to Ethel Raim. The ceremony will be at the Sunday afternoon concert, November 19.
