The Eisteddfod will offer a variety of workshops that range from "mini-concerts" to illustrated panel discussions to hands-on demonstrations and participatory open mics and singarounds. Bring your instruments and voices!  On Saturday there will also be a Hardanger Fiddle Master Class with Toby Weinberg (special registration required), Folklore Sessions, and a Free Family concert.

Friday 14 November

• Concert, 7:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Saturday 15 November

• Workshops, panels, demonstrations, open stage, folklore sessions, jamming - 10:00 a.m. - 6 p.m. 
• Free Family Concert 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. 
• Hardanger Fiddle Master Class with Toby Weinberg , afternoon--exact time to be announced (Special registration required)
• Concert, 7:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Sunday 16 November

• Workshops, panels, demonstrations, open stage, jamming - 10:00 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
• Concert 2:15 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Festival Marketplace

The Marketplace will offer CDs etc. from the performers and others, plus a variety of crafts and information on local organizations.

Advertise in the Souvenir Program Book

Every Eisteddfod-NY attendee will receive a copy of our Souvenir Program Book, which contains details of the performers, schedule, and more. The deadline for inclusion is 4 November 2008. Full payment must accompany copy. Send check made out to FMSNY to Heather Wood, 444 West 54th Street #7, New York NY 10019. Display Ad Rates

• Sizes are actual print size for camera-ready copy and will be reduced if oversize.
• Preferably, ads should be supplied on disk or via email, in MS Word, InDesign, PDF, or TIF format or laid out camera-ready; delivered and paid before the deadline.
• The Editor has no facilities for doing artwork and ads which are sloppily laid out will be refused!
• Ads are subject to the approval of the Advertising Committee.
• Page or position placement cannot be guaranteed.

There is a limited number of openings for volunteers, who will receive free admission in exchange for approximately six hours of work. Jobs include:

• Concert Usher/Badge Checker
• Reception Desk Staffer
• Festival Marketplace Staffer (selling performer CDs etc.)
• General Gopher (must be able-bodied!)

• Parking Information. Street parking can be hard to find. As a Festival attendee, you can get a $2 discount from 82nd Street Parking at 35-55 82nd street--near 37th Avenue. You get to 82nd Street, which is one-way, from 35th Avenue and it is on the left side of the street. Bring your parking receipt to Registration to be stamped.
  • Up to 2 hours parking--no discount $8.
  • up to 4 hours--$9.00 rather than $11.
  • Up to 10 hours--$13 rather than $15
  • Up to 24 hours--$18 rather than $20.
