By Long Island Railroad:

Get off at the Woodside station (almost all NYC bound trains stop at Woodside).  Go upstairs to the subway (elevated railway) and take the No. 7 (Flushing Line) local train east towards Flushing. Get off directly in front of the school.

The basic NYC transit fare is $2.25 per ride.

You will need to purchase a MetroCard to use the subway system. There are various discounts available if you want more than a single ride.  MetroCards work on buses, too, but you can also pay with exact change, meaning coins only. Quarters, dimes, and nickels all work, as do one dollar coins, but for some reason half dollars do not. Neither do pennies. If you use a MetroCard, you can transfer between the bus and the subway, or between two bus lines, for free.
